It’s that time of year again, when many of our clients have us prepare a tax projection on their behalf. If you have had major life changes during 2014, or you have experienced a significant increase in your earnings over 2013, then a tax projection is highly recommended.
Additionally, Congress has yet to act on a host of tax breaks that expired at the end of 2013. Some of these tax breaks may be retroactively reinstated and extended, but Congress may not decide the fate of these tax breaks until the very end of this year (and, possibly, not until next year).
A current reassessment of your situation could allow you to respond more quickly once changes are enacted and careful planning is wise regardless of the situation and even more important during uncertain times.
To make sure you’re taking all the appropriate steps to minimize your individual and business taxes, we encourage you to consider a tax projection as vital piece of your annual tax strategy.
